Has anyone had good results from the First Place (Bible based ) weight loss program? What was your experience?

Hi Yes I have done First Place and am currently enrolled again for the 4th time..the First two times around I lost 60 pounds..I did gain all of it back after my mom died last December..it seemed to gravitated to me..all that "comfort food" but I am back on the program which started on September 21st and I have lost 10 pounds so far so that is the average of two per week and I haven't got back into the habit of exercising again YET..But I am sure that I will. I really love the program

The people of Bible times were more in to getting enough food rather than weight loss. But they probably had a better diet than the standard American diet. Pulses (beans and lentils), whole grains, and field greens? Grapes and tree fruit? Possibly it would be a good diet for us all to try, perhaps for Lent.

always have vegetables on hand saute a big bag of frozen mixed vegetables in olive oil and garlic add some red pepper or turmeric for additional flavor and separate into portion sized containers for the fridge

turn dinner into a healthy lunch the next day by wrapping your lean leftovers in a whole wheat wrap add a little dijon mustard or curry powder for added flavor
