My class consist of older 3's to older 4's. Our theme next week is 'Opposites'. Since we are in fall I would like some ideas for art and/or sensory activities that would involve fall/halloween while still incorporating the theme into the activity. Any ideas? I would also welcome other center based activities to use with the theme. thanks in advance! :)

my favorite way to do the same theme is to use a small box with a small doll or small car when i introduce the topic in circle time. and we review in/out, under/over, back/front, top/bottom.
then we move on to other things in the room:
on the table under the table, inside/outside, front of the line back of the line; then even outside wet sand/dry sand, on top of the slide/bottom of the slide, playing with balls up over our heads/under our legs, bouncing up and down, fast and slow riding on bikes.
for science i have used cooking with eggs either boiling yolks hard and soft or frying hard and soft yolks, also painted with water and used sand to make pictures with and without glue.
tons of books on the subject check out your own library, one comes to mind "push/pull empty/full" and there are tons of tana hoban books with only pictures but they're great

how about i spy game, pick teams of 2. or if there are too many kids use 2 groupss. use your class room or the play yard. start with high-low. have the teams look around and spy. team #1 i spylight bulb up high, i spy rug down low. then go to team #2. after all have done high/ low. use left /right, front / back, etc. can not duplicate other teams answers.
