If you have never had a cold sore it is unlikely that you would be getting one now. At this time I would not worry but if the pain persist I would check with a doc

It could possibly be a pimple...some pimples can be in the form of nodules and they feel just like bruises...they actually form into hard solid bumps and they are not pleasant at all....

If you have not been in touch with anybody with a cold sore you should be okay...a cold sore would form into a puss filled blister and eventually crust over during the course of a few days....Cold sores usually look red as well...

In any event try to leave it alone...I wouldn't worry about it to be honest with you. The more you aggravate it though the more chance it could get infected. If it is a cold sore, the last thing you want to do is touch it and spread it to other parts of your body.

Sounds like a cold sore developing. With the weather outside getting colder and windy a good pointer is too make sure that your lips are coated with a good lip balm. Constanting licking the lips to mositure them can cause a sore that could quickly turn into a cold sore if not treated. Buy a lip balm that has a sunblock ingredient. Even on cloudy days the sun is still there. Hope this works for you.

I don't think it's a cold sore, there are such things as lip bumps they are like pimples but either around on or near your lips and mouth. it's best if you don't touch. If you put like an antibacterial on it it should go away. if it was a cold sore than it would be red or pinkish in color. i've had this before so don't worry!!! it will go away in about a week or two. If the anti bacterials and neosporin aren't workin than put an acne cream on it every night. but first wash your face and the spot with HOT water and put a litte sea breeze on it. then apply your medicine or whatever if this doesnt help then see a DR. hope this helps

if it is a cold sore get some campho phonic (not sure of the spelling) and you can get it at the drugstore. Get a cotton ball and rub it on for a few days. The cold sore will dry up and go away. Remember, cold sores can be an indication of a type of herpes virus. Not necessarily the std type.

It could just be a silly pimple or skin irritation, or small ingrown hair.

I think cold sores start out differently and worse. They will explode into something ugly and mutated on your lip. Pray its just a zit.

if youve never had a cold sore, it probably isnt one...cold sores have a weird tingle to them followed by a painful blister. if your condition lasts too much longer, id go to a doctor to have it checked out.

a cold sore will look like a blister. the sooner you dry it out the faster it will get better.
