Because they say they are on the pill and then 9 months later a baby pops out and then he is saddled with a kid and paying maintenance for the next 16+ years.
Plus over the last few years girl/women are making up rape stories, as they don't get their own way (ie he does not want a long term relationship) the guy lands up on bail, he looses his job, his family, his home and she in court admits she lied and he has nothing, no support from anyone and then long time depression. It happen twice last month in my local area and the police wont even charge her for wasting police time and my taxes I pay!

You know I have often wondered the same question myself! I think it's an insecurity thing. I don't think it's limited to just men though! Anyone who has had bad past relationships find it hard to trust. But I feel trust should be earned not given!

Hm..must be the amount of hurt women/girls have caused them in the past. I am with a man who says that he trusts until you give him a reason not to. But, he has been hurt badly by other women, so I think that's probably why.

I'd love to and always give them the benefit of the doubt. Lying doesn't bother me as much as their rationale for it. Most women I've known that have lied gave reasons why they felt it is appropriate to lie. It's never appropariate to lie. If you can't be honest with other people at least be honest with yourself. That's the worst part of it.
Yes, I realize men lie too, I'm not saying they don't. Very few rationalise it like women however.
