I'd go to Phuket, Thailand or Boracay, Philippines.
The beaches are suppose to be incredible and I know both countries have friendly people.
I've been to Singapore and it is my favorite big city in Asia. I guess it would all depend on what I wanted to do on my vacation.

Well if you fly into Bangkok,Thailand you have access to beaches and mountains cheap from there. Beautiful. Vietnam is a short flight away as is Malaysia/Indonesia.
I would start with Thailand for a first time visiter to SE Asia and go from there.

these are not really south asian countries. SAARC includes india, bangladesh, pakistan, sri lanka, nepal, myanmar, bhutan.
i wud choose St. Martins Island in Bangladesh and the longest sea shore attached to it at Cox's Baazar. Bangladesh is cheap but has a lot of places to visit. It has the largest mangroove forest at Sundarban.

why do you waste your points asking the same Qs?
first of all in deciding a vacation- what type of vacation you have in mind? then you can shortlisted the alternatives...
for me- Malaysia can offer most vacation types

Malaysia- not polluted, not sleazy, not one forcing or touting plus it is clean, variety- beaches, hills, town, islands, cheap 5-star hotel, food and shopping are great.
