Depends on the temperature and if the lid is on. Something like guldens will last a few days, French's has so many preservatives in it I bet it would go for two weeks.
A mustard which is really hot, like coleman's english, or chinese mustard, will last a very long time. it's just a spice and water. I bet that would take a month!!

Unless your night stand is in the kitchen, you probably have a sanitation issue on your hands. I think you need to tell your boyfriend to put away his food. Mustard lasts a while but why is it in the bedroom in the first place?

Why would you want mustard by your bed??
It may not go completely bad right away, but bacteria may grow that can cause stomach upset. Don't leave it out for more than a few hours.

basic yellow mustard doesnt need to be refrigerated.
specialty mustards may require it because of ingredient differences. most people do it out of habit and because they don't use it very quickly.

Ha ha Why would he need mustard on his nightstand? Ummm, I would say get rid of it ASAP!!!!!! It will probably go bad with in hours of not being refrigerated!!!!!

Long, it's basically seeds which don't go bad, vinegar which doesn't go bad, salt which doesn't go bad, and in North America preservatives which don't go bad. Mind you in North America a lot of stuff also has hydrogenated fat which takes a looooooooong time to go bad.

Almost indefinitely, from my experience. I never refrigerate mustard.
