aww im so sorry! i will give you a poem if it makes you feel any better and i think you should give it to the vet and it depends how the dogs personality is so you shuld do what ever the dogs personality is which is up to you! and here is my poem

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Sorry for your loss.

Personally I like cremating, but that is b/c I move a lot. I wouldn't feel comforable burying my dog at my apartment, and I don't want something digging it up. If you cremate you can keep your dog with you in an urn forever or sprinkle his ashes over his "happy" place. Burying on the other hand can give you a place to "visit" the ol' friend, and it will be cheaper.

It is all personal preferance and what you are comfortable doing.

I think there is a law against that. Please bury him. You should only have to go down maybe 4 feet. Put him in a shoebox. Make sure when you cover him up you press down on the dirt so that other animals won't dig him up.

Either get him cremated or take him a vet for disposal, I believe it's illegal to just bury a pet

it's best to do what you feel comfortable with. When my dogs died as a child my parents buried them in the back yard (they had the land)

That has to be your decision. I thought about cremating two of my dogs ,but couldn't bring myself to do it. Everyone has their own personal feelings on this matter.I am so sorry to hear about your loss.

It's whatever you are most comfortable with. But, if the puppy died of a disease, for example, Parvo, he should be cremated.
