Sin is a word used to name always wrong behavior. It acts as a moral compass so that you will not be confused when someone suggests that it is right sometimes...when would it be right...who says...it helps define an orderly society...thou shalt not steal...thou shall not kill...thou shall not covet thy neighbours wife, suv, pool, etc...see simple right? But what if i change the words a bit...thou shall not choose abortion...even if the baby is the result of rape....now things are very cloudy...except if you go back to basics...thou shall not kill...simple....and that is why a sin must always be considered a sin...it is always wrong...

Dear skahhh, In 1 John 3:4 the Bible tels us what sin is, listen to this, "whosoever commits sin transgresses also the Law:for sin is transgression of the Law." the biblical concept of sin is brekaing Gods law the Ten Commandments. why is it wrong all the Time? the BIble says everytime we sin and transgrees the law, we sin against God the Holy creator who gave you your life and everything you have. The BIble says there will be a day of Judgement and God wil judge you by those commandments, lets look at a few of the Commandments to see how you will do........

Have you ever lied (even once--fibs, white lies, etc.)? Ever stolen (anything--the value is irrelevant)? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you ever looked with lust? If you have said "Yes" to these three questions, by your own admission, you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart; Have you ever hated someone? The BIble makes it clear that he who hates his brother is a murderer in Gods eyes. If God Judges you by this standard would you be innocent or guilty? Listen to your conscience, you knew it was wrong to do those things and that like many of us, you have transgressed this law a multitude of times. The BIble says you will be guilty and God has given you a consceince to know right from wrong and you will be without excuse. the BIble says the Punishement for your sin is death and hell. There is great news, God has done something to allow you to be forgiven. He sent His Son to take our punishment: "God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." He was bruised for our iniquities. Jesus then rose from the dead and defeated death.
Your own so-called “goodness” can’t get you into heaven any more than mine could. Jesus is the only way to Heaven. He is the "Door," the only "mediator." There is salvation in no other name, so pray, repent (tun from sin) and confess them and Put your full faith and trust in Jesus as Lord and savior. if you will do this God will forgive you and save you from hell and grant you eternal life. Jesus stepped into the courtroom of Gods law for you. Please make sure your saved today.
God Bless

Sin is an offense against God and/or man that eventually results in death.

Sin also has lasting negative consequences for the sinner, and for all those who share his space on this earth.

If one is steeped in sin at the time of death, separation from God for eternity might result.

Sin is always wrong, and should be avoided like the plague that it is.

A sin is something God says is not right that you should not do. A lot of people think a sin is wrong because according to their religion the God or whatever else they worship tells them to not do it.

Sins are those actions which degrade the quality of life -- whether for the sinner or others or both, usually both.

Biblically speaking, "...sin is lawlessness." (1 John 3:4)

Sin is like your feces. The body rejects it because it is toxic and it will kill you literally. Would you like to live in your cesspool? Would you enjoy the company of people who don't brush their teeth and got terrible bad breath and people who do not take a bath that they stink like the sewage system?
In the eyes of God or the Spirit world sinfulness and evil is like that.
Sins are all the evil and the wrong things people do contrary to the 10 commandmnents and the law.

Sin is something that hurts your self, someone else, or offends God due to reasons we do not yet understand. And why it is wrong is clear when you look at it from that stand point.

Sin is a burden, a backpack full of bricks on your back, and Jesus wants to carry it for us.
