if they want to, they can put a warrent for your arrest. if you get in trouble in Cali like a speeding ticket, and the officer runs what is called an NCIC, it will show that you have a warrent for your arrest in Arizona. you will be held at a facility in cali until someone from arizona can come pick you up. my suggestion to you is either go back and pay the stupid most likely small ticket, or never get pulled over by the police again. if it shows up to any police officer in any state that you have a warrent, they have to arrest you on the spot.

You have a warrant out for your arrest for failure to appear. It will show up on the police report as FTA. If you weren't going to pay them you haad about 30 days to show up in court to defend yourself, you did not show up in court so the court clerk issued a warrant for your arrest. It may just count if you are caught in the Carolinas but it is very possible that if you get stopped in another state that the warrant will show up and you will be arrested in another state and then extradited back to the Carolinas to stand trial. You better call the country clerk's offc where you got those tickets and pay the fines. It really should not be that expensive, it will be more than usual but shouldn't be that much more. It could even get worse. If it is a number of tickets, it could escalate from a misdemeanor to a low class felony, like a class C or D felony and that may be an automatic 6-12 months in jail or prison plus a fine. You really don't want to get raped in prison because you didn't pay some speeding tickets.

They cannot do anything to you unless you are stopped in Arizona again, and only then if they (Arizona) has a warrant out for your arrest. If you don't get stopped in Arizona, they cannot touch you. They will just threaten you is all. Oh, and FYI....NEVER get smart with the cop in another state and say "I'm not going to pay this because I live in another state" either. Because if they want to they can legally hold you in county prison until you pay the fine, and have a court date. If you give any hint that you don't intend on paying, you'll probably spend time in the county jail, or pay the fine.

They finally issue a bench warrant, they can have you arrested in any other state and physcially bought back to thier state to stand trial.
It may not be a federal case, but they can make you almost wish it was one, if they want to do it.
And the worst thing they do is leave the warrant open, then every time you get stoped, if you try to fly, if you go to renew your drivers licence, this warrant will show up, The will be asked if they wish to pay to have you taken to Arizonia and they will say no , not at this time, but the warrant will stay active to anytime it happens again, you will be stoped and help again while the other state is asked.
So yes I have stoped people in GA that had silly bench warrants from all sorts of states,

It will go on your traffic record and if you fail to pay it they will issue a warrant for your arrest. Warrants issued are issued until the person is picked up. It will probably be only valid in the state of AZ but if you ever go there again and get pulled over you will be arrested. You should take care of the dumb traffic ticket before you get a criminal record.

traffic ticket is not a felony, however if you dont pay the ticket the police can issue a warrant for your arrest.. dont matter if you got the ticket in "montana" you still in the USA, and insurance companies don care about it ,they just want to jack your insurance.dont worry you are not going to do your time in camp fed. the most you do is county time. or go to mexico and stay there for 7 years .some people say all records clears in 7 years then come back and live happily ever after .see speding ticket cost about 400 thats in off money to stay in mexico or peru for 7 years good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it might be in your best interest to just pay the ticket. A bit of a different scenario but my uncle killed a pedestrian in ohio but lives in canada. He had to go to court down there and face what happened. He couldn't hide up here in Canada.
Don't hide or keep running, just because you're in a different state i'm sure theres something there that they can catch up to you eventualy even if its 20 years down the road and throw you in jail. Just pay the darn thing! You were in the wrong, step up to the plate.
You might want to read this little blurb I found.

When you renew your license ( if not sooner ) you will be unable to do so . There will be a hold on your drivers license until the problem is cleared ..With all states online now , info is passed from state to state . Call and ask how much you owe and pay the fine . If you ignore it then it becomes a "situation".

which corner of AZ? I live in AZ. In my tiny town-if you don't pay a speeding ticket, we issue a warrant for when you do return. We have some going back 10 years.

You can go to jail.
As my crime and justice teacher always said.
"where you did the crime you serve the time"
So even if you killed 20 people than ran into mexico. Mexican police can arrest you and send you to the state you killed those people in. And then you will be charged and prosecuted there.
So yes. It could turn out to be bad.
