The phrase fighting for peace just seems to confuse me.

Maybe it's like that saying, "Fight Fire With Fire". I mean sometimes out in forest fires. They use fires to create stability. So maybe that is why theres war so we can create peace. But who knows.

Because of the first man and woman's sin of disobedience sin has been present in the blood of all mankind. Sin causes a lack of peace. There will only be peace when Christ returns. And only those who have excepted His sacrifice for all mankind's sin will know that peace.

Its actually a chicken-and-egg situation.
Before you can actually have peace (or even know what peace is) you have to have the opposite...a.k.a. war.
