Okay, obviously you didn’t do anything in my last question and backed out with an excuse. Surely you can try Mark 16:17-1 8 which says believers can drink “any deadly thing” and “it shall not hurt” them. But I don’t think you would be naive enough to drink any arsenic offered. Perhaps I’m wrong and you would be willing to test the Book’s veracity-”lay it on the line” so to speak?

Actually its been often enough that there is no need to prove the poing again. Down south there are still some who choose to handle snakes to prove their faith.
I've drunk the poisons of ridicule, disbelief, hatred, and doubt for years. Jesus is right - no problem.
Snakes - there are plenty of those who would twist the scripture and turn this way and that rather than face themselves. They are no threat except to themselves.

The Bible was never intended to be subject to unbelievers with such literalism. "Call no man father, teacher or rabbi..." "if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off..." etc., etc.

For 2000 years, true Christians have not taken verses like this literally, and that includes Mark 16.

Wierd cults from the southern U.S. do not represent authoritive, consistent Christianity.

you can try pick verse after verse using select lines if you want, you can't understand the bible just picking out select scripture, even Satan can do that to make Christians do wrong, such as when he used scripture to tempt Jesus in the desert. put all that chapter and book in context and then ask us questions.
