If you fasted properly, as in not eating at all, you would probably die. Most people can only manage about a month, and would permanently damage their health after that time.

But as someone else has said, Muslims don't fast totally. They eat in the evening. Few religions fast completely for more than a few days at a time, as making your followers starve to death isn't a good way for your religion to survive.

You won't die if you spent three months only eating in the evening. As long as you eat enough to meet your daily calorie intake in the evening (which you could do under Ramadan) you won't get sick either. You'll probably feel faint during the day at first (young Muslims I've know have suffered that on their first few Ramadans), but you will adapt to it. This is assuming you're healthy to start with. It isn't recommended to mess about with your eating schedule for people who are very young, very old, have health problems or are pregnant.

(And I don't hold any responsibilty for anyone that tries this.... if you try it and hurt yourself, you only have yourself to blame)

Muslims don't fast for three months during Ramadan. They fast for 30 days. And they don't fast continuously. They do eat from sunset to sunrise, but not while the sun is out.

Hmm I don't think it's smart to fast consecutively for 3 months... you might get sick. Die... no.. because it's not like you're going on a hunger strike and not eat anything at all. During Ramadhan Muslims eat before the sun comes up and while the sun is down.

They don't really fast completely. Just for part of the day.

I try to fast completely for 5 days out of every month. The first 3 days are the worst. The longest have gone is 8 days. It was pretty hard and the last day I was a bit disoriented so I ate something.

Love and blessings Don

Ramadan is for 1 month. The fast is sunrise to sunset. A whale of a lot of eating and partying goes on after dark. 3 months would probably put us all 4 sizes bigger in our clothes.

Ramadan is not 3 months, it is only one. And they only fast during the day and begin to eat at dusk.

I assure you they do not fast 90 days. Some have made it for just over 50 days. Now they do a 'limited fast' for as long as they wish. But a fast is water only. No one can last 90 days.

They would die!

A man in good health to start can starve for about 45 days and survive.
Longer than that and they may not, 50 days they die. 3 months is 90 days.

Wow, Very Observant Question! Well I would think you wouldn't die. Muslims are humans, So are Christians and every other religion. We're all human so if Muslims can do it, So can everybody else!
