Why do you assume that all athiests are ignorant about religion? And why do you assume that all athiests loathe (and loathe is the verb form, not loath, which is an adjective...talk about ignorant) religion? I went to church for many many years, and I've read the Bible almost from cover to cover (including the entire New Testament). So if I voice an opinion on religion, at least when it comes to Christianity, I think I can safely say it's an informed one. Can you say that about athiests? Your generalization in your question suggests you can't.

The only ones that "attack" are trolls, but I guess I'm forgetting that some Christians seem to consider any personal opinion or view that differs from theirs to be an attack.
Reading someone else's view or opinion will not kill you. If that is what some Christians have to complain about, then you're all doing pretty good since some groups in the world have worse and more important things to worry about.

Funny you should say that as that is what we say. I've read the King James Bible cover to cover before I was 10yrs old. I read other versions of the Bible 3 in all. I read all the apocerfies, I even was a in a play about Tobit and Micheal. Not Hobit, the Dead Sea Scrolls and the different talking points I found.
I also read about 20 pagan books. I found something that I believe in. Do you want to talk to me? Email me I love good conversation.

You should have done your homework before posting this ignorant question. Atheists typically know at least as much about Christianity as Christians do, as is obvious from the responses to the questions here.
In your haste to throw a childish insult, you made a fool of yourself.

Just because some one does NOT believe what you believe from the Bible (a book written by several men, BTW) does not mean that they are ignorant.
Quit your judgments and worry about your OWN beliefs.
It frustrates me that Christians continually try and shove this crap down everyone's throats.
I, myself am neither a Christian nor an Athiest ... I believe in a higher power, and believe that WE are our own GODS .... I refuse to be judged, brainwashed or bullied into believing something that is pretty ridiculous to me logically.
I have a challenge for Christians though .... PROVE THAT YOU ARE RIGHT, THAT IT IS ALL TRUE .... YOU CANNOT!!

I'm not ignorant about it. I used to teach Sunday school. I've read the bible front to back once, and several books many times. It just finally occurred to me one day that I needed to base my beliefs not on what I grew up being told, but what I really really believed in. Just being born white in America wasn't good enough for me. So I sat back for oh I don't know 5 years, and compiled my beliefs. And the conclusion I came to was that God does not exist... and if he does, he is not the sort of God I would want to worship. I have so much love for my children that even if they hated me... said I didn't exist... I would never send them to hell. Maybe their room... but never hell. And if I have a greater capacity for love then "god", he is no kind of God at all.

At the same time, why can't you religious people leave us alone and stop trying to cram your religion down our throats?
You know, I did a poll from both athiests and religious.
95% of atheists said they do not feel they should convert religious people, whereas 98% of religious people said they should try and convert others to their religion.
Why should we read something we feel is nothing but fairy tales?
Why can't we ask questions and get answers from you instead of just you quoting from a book? Don't you have any personal information to add instead of just what some stupid book told you to believe in?

Hey, guess what... these atheists are generally more educated on religion than most Christians.
Everyone has read the bible, buddy. Why do you think that the non-Christians keep saying to prove what you're saying without using a 2000 year old book written by mankind?

Sorry but I studied religion for more than eight years, so I'm definitely not ignorant. How much have you studied Evolution, Astrophysics or political science. It's not the atheists who want to live in ignorance.

Know why? Like everyone else you see..."He who has the biggest mouth, wins".
Ever notice how people become arrogant? Pushy? Goddamn downright rude and then obscene when all else fails? That's why. Because they think they can intimidate them into believing what they do.
That's why I hang here. To root them out. The idiots too. Not to mention the dumb kids who think they know it all. The ignoramouses and the common trash.
Yes....that's why. They don't know. They don't care to know. But...they will bully you into trying to see their way. Or else they'll kick your as*.
Yeah....I have a lot of respect for them. Ha! I scorn them. Uneducated, uninformed vermin.
