Bull terriers were originally bred for hunting. The body was intentionally kept small, so they could bet into burrows after their prey. They are very aggressive, aren't afraid of anything, and have lots of determination... Remember the "Pit" Bull Terrier? The Bull Terrier is the prime 'ingredient' in the Pit Bull.

The wikipedia entry for bull terriers doesn't contain one form of the word "hunt". That would lead me to believe their primary role, or even their secondary isn't hunting.

Hello. Just to let you know...Minature Bull Terriors were orginally bred for dog fighting and hunting rats and mice.
Any dog can be taught to hunt with the right leadership!!!
Bull terriors require a firm hand because they are very willful. They are typically good-natured and are extremely loyal, affectionate, obediant and very eager to please kind of dogs...so saying that it makes them a lot easier to hunt...patience is the best policy...start small and work your way up..don't rush it...perfection comes slowly!!

***LMAO!!!***
Not just "No." but "HEL* NO!!!"
Bred for centuries to be FIGHTING-DAWGS!!! LOL!
Though you *might* be able to encourage the occasional speciman to be of use as a "draw-dog" or a "hog-catcher".
FAR TOO BIG for ANY in-ground work, too SLOW for rats, NO NOSE,WRONG temperament...ETC!!
As you can plainly see....don't ask folks HERE!!! They don't know which end bites!!!
