Crunches are so much better! Sit ups are really bad on your back! If you want to get that 6pack, also, you can raise your feet about 6-8 inches off the floor and raise the shoulders as well! Hold for about 30 seconds each! You will feel the burn before you get thru the first set! Even if you only can do 1 or 2 the first time, try and increase 1 more a few times a week!
Also, don`t stop with just the abs, also do squats.. Position your feet apart (keeping them flat on the floor) and do maybe 10 the first time, then seperate feet (still keeping them flat on the floor) repeat the 10, then get on thoese tippy toes and repeat! This works, legs, stomache, butt, and back!!! Pushups also works that stomache back , chest and arms!
with all the exercise, start out slow and increase a little at a time! Your body will tell you when you are pushing it too much, last get a tape and start measuring your body, keep a chart..You will see improvements in as little as 2 weeks!!! You can just do the abs as you stated, but you really would look funny, and hey it only takes 10 more mins. to get the complete package! Oh, if you must have choclate, walking and build up to a run will take care of those calories! Also limit yourself! You must have self control or you would not be asking for help AKA advise!
Good Luck and Be Blessed, Rev,Susan
P.S. If you would like further help, you may e-mail me! I have many suggestions! I was a competive body builder, in my 20`s and cover model for a fitness site..When I was in my mid 30`s!!!

How to make my stomach flat
If you want to make your stomach flat, then you need to follow a proper exercise, diet schedule and get sufficient sleep. You need to get the right proteins, carbohydrates, fibers and vitamins daily in your diet. There is no magical formula to make the tummy flat; exercise and hard work is the only way to make your tummy flat.
Diet:·
Intake Low carb diet·
Do not consume foods high in sugar content·
If possible do not eat junk food. If you need to eat junk food , consume less ·
Eat low fat food and avoid fried foods·
Drink fruit juices and plenty of water·
Eat lots of green leafy vegetable and fruits
Exercise: Jogging is the best exercise to start with. You need to jog for at least 20 minutes before you start doing the tummy exercises. Tummy crunch or sit ups is the best exercise for your stomach. Do the tummy crunch in different variations. The more the repetitions, the more strength for your tummy muscles. Swimming is also a good exercise for the whole body. Some yoga poses also help in strengthening the upper and lower part of the tummy and also increase the flexibility of the stomach muscles. Sleep: Sleep is a necessity for rest, relaxation and recuperation. You need to get a good sleep, to recharge your muscles after a workout. On an average an adult needs around 8 hours of sleep. If you rest for fewer hours, the risk of becoming overweight increases.

Abs: Note. Abdominals are one of the hardest muscles to build. The key is repetition. Sit-ups are not the only thing that you could do, you should try doing a circuit. This is when you do 1 set of 1 exercise and then move on the the next one, then complete all exercise , then repeat. Try this workout and after 1 month a daily repetition I promise you results. Keep in mind this is what I do you might want to decrease the numbers and gradually work your way up to greater numbers: 50 crunches : hands on head, elbows touch quadriceps. 50 sit-ups: hand on head, elbows touch knees. 30 leg raises: lie flat, lift legs aprox. 2 ft. from ground then back down without touching the ground. 30 siscor kicks: lie flat, lift legs aprox. 1 ft. from ground then swing legs back and forth horizantally. Repeat.

It is great to see that you already want to keep your body in shape! More power to you. You will have to ditch a lot of the chocolate you are consuming. Chocolate has a poisonous affect to the body. It also causes the dark rings under people's eyes.
Anyway, if you really want to flatten your tummy make sure you pull in the area where you navel is. When you think about it, pull your navel in to your back. You will feel that your crunchies or sit ups are a lot more strenuous and make you work harder.

In fact, most people already have a '6-pack', it is only buried beneath the rest of you. You need to work out your ENTIRE body to see results. To target just on area is a waste of time and you will never get the results you want.
So work it all over, and be consistent!
Good luck!

At 12 your body is still developing those abs, do a strong cross training exercise with the crunches! half way with weight, swim, stretch, and run, and snatch the pebble from my hand and you will have abs!
