One of the simplest ways to stay credible is to fry lots of bacon for breakfast and eat it in white buns with loads of tomato ketchup. It tastes great and smells wonderful as it wafts over the camp site and into the other folks tents;)
You can also dry fry?..(no oil in pan) fresh bread: by spreading dough out thin like a nan bread or a Frisbee (but not so thin)
You would need a griddle or steel frying pan and you just toss the dough like a chapatti into the pan and let it cook all the way through until brown on the outside.
It can be used for savoury dishes and jams depending; Mexican or Indian style.

DEpends if you have to backpack. Go to a camping store and you won't believe the dehydrated foods you have to chose from. I never want to spend that much time cooking myself cause we go for the fishing. Your best bet is dehydrated potatoes ( any grocery store and canned bacon or whatever. then figure pasta, like mac and cheese and skillet dinners. makes an awful differance if you cook over a campfire or lug in a stove. campfire meals are the simpler the better. If you take a stove you aren't really camping in my opinion. but to each his own.

Try making some dehydrated hamburger: Brown some hamburger meat in a pan. Then drain. Fry some more. Drain again. Then put in a 200 degree oven till it is like little rocks... Good Luck!

Easy meal: Take a piece of chicken, some veggies like string beans, potatoes, carrotts, and put it in heavy duty foil. Wrap it in foil like 5 times. Create a big camp fire, when it dies down, create a hole in the glowing red hot ambers and put the foil packs in it for 40 minutes. Bring some salt and pepper to flavor.

nicely once you're interested in development issues at abode, you additionally could make fowl salad in a ziploc bag and positioned across pita bread for it for a super lunch meal. Fruit salad is likewise common this way. cakes are a fave of mine whilst tenting: Banana Splits: Take a banana with the peel nevertheless on, cut up down the middle (curve-ingredient up, slit alongside the interior curve) fill with marshmallows and chocolate chips, wrap in foil and positioned on the coals for a jiffy till warm. No mess, in simple terms toss the foil into your rubbish bag. Chocolate Raspberry Tortillas: Take a flour tortilla, sprinkle with chocolate chips, raspberries and brown sugar. Roll up, wrap in a tortilla, place on coals for a jiffy till warm. Donuts: convey cinnamon/sugar combination in a paper sack. Use refrigerated biscuit dough and wrap a skewer, turning over the fireplace as you're able to roast a marshmallow till executed. Then, dip into the cinnamon/sugar combination and yum!

beef jerky is good for snacking, along with granola bars. Baked beans do really well and hotdogs. You'll do fine, besides do you really wants that full of a stomach while you're out camping? Too much food will weigh you down and make you tired.

cooking outdoors is a treat..
have lots of fun with it.. spending an hour cooking doesn't seem like an hour when it's an event/something to do at night....
one of my favorites is to make turkey burgers with mashed potatoes...
and
tuna casserole made with mac-n-cheese, albacore tuna, canned carrots, canned peas and cream of mushroom soup...
