a lot has to do with the extent of the problem......
when i was in an accident they were there within 10 minutes
but when non-handicap person parked in the my handicap parking space at my complex and i could not get into my unit, it took the police about 22 minutes, (i am wheelchair bound and the parking space was not built to ADA standards so does not allow me to pass the car and curb without hitting either one or not even able to pass because there is not enough room to pass with.)
another time the law enforcement was called was due to gun shots they were there within 10 minutes also.
hope this help....
as for the pizzas, there are less pizza orders the calls for the police. and the pizza delivery person wants their money.

Not where I live. The pizza guy takes anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half. The police respond within 20min. And ambulances just take forever and ever and ever... or so it seems when a loved one is suffering..

Chances are the pizza kid is right down the road or in the area from you, but the police could be out with another call or coming back from something far away. its called downing manpower but increasing problems! same as firefighters and EMS

the few officers working in your area are responding to more calls than a pizza guy can ever imagine. everyone puts down the police until you are getting your *** kicked or someone is beating up your wife or husband in the street then it is all of a sudden oh police thank you. most officers in a busy city go from call to call for their entire 8, 10 or 12 hour shift. you having your cat in the tree isn't as bad as the other guy who just got robbed, or the idiot drinking and driving not to mention murders.

Depends on where you live.
My city, Midland Michigan, has a ton of police... when you call, they are usually there in less than 3 minutes if it is an emergency, or 15 minutes if it's not an emergency.
I suppose in bigger cities, distance and number of cops on patroll and the amount of crime would make a big difference...

It takes less than 30 minutes to make a pizza. A little more time to catch a suspect
