or doctrine you adhere to. Well, maybe not Islam, but they don't count in my 'book'.(he he) So He went through all that knowing that He'd be alive and kicking in two or three days. Sure his disciples were amazed, but according to the books, they couldn't figure out parables that small children can figure out. The books even feature this about them.
Then the books put in some very complicated stuff, stuff that causes schisms and separate churches to be formed because it is so unclear. Apparently the disciples understood those points clearly enough though.
My main question here is that He KNEW that he wasn't really going to be killed dead for ever, just a couple or three days. So it was no big thing to Him now, was it?
Secondary question about the disciples being such buffoons about simple parables and yet so wise as to complex material.. wiser than some philosophers through the millenia apparently.

Hes, as God He knew the outcome. He knew the agony of the crucifixion. He knew His Body would be buried. He knew He would be resurrrected the third day.
>So it was no big thing to Him now, was it?
Remember, not only was He fully God, but also fully Human. Crucifixion was one of the most horrible forms of death for any person. Even for Jesus; perhaps especially so for Him Who was Sinless; for HIm Who had never done anything wrong. For Him Who had came from Highest Heaven.
But it was a VERY big deal, for He was bearing our sins in His body on the cross. He, the Holy and eternal Son of God, at that time bearing all the sins of humanity, making atonement for sin.
Not only the trial and the Scourging; not only the dread six hours on the cross; but bearing our sins and accepting our eternal death ... somehow, as God, He accomplished that in six hours.
At the end of those hours, He cried out with a loud voice "IT IS FINISHED". The work of atonement was accomplished.
He was delivered for our offences; the third day He would be rasied for our justification.
All that remained was for us to accept his most gracious offer, and to follow in grateful thanks. The bewildering part is that many reject such love as He demonstrated on the Cross.

His soul knew that . but his Physical body has a hard time accepting the fact . Thus the self doubt questions written in the bible.Around the time in the Garden before the last supper.
They had different views on what Jesus meant in his parables and sermons.they viewed them from their own life experiences and previous jobs also religious views.

Jesus deliberately emptied himself of his divine powers in order to live the same life as any man, except for sin.
In his humanity, Jesus had faith that he would be raised up in three days. He needed to rely on the Holy Spirit to accomplish that for him, just like we do.
And if you think what he endured was easy, try it some time and see for yourself. Jesus suffered just as any man would have, possibly even more.
Regarding what the apostles knew and when they knew it:
Prior to the descent of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, the apostles were a bunch of rude, crude fishermen and tax collectors, not theologians or philosophers.
The scriptures bear this out.
After Pentecost, the Holy Spirit remained with them, bringing all things Jesus taught them to mind, empowering them to do miracles, and to do everything and anything that their mission would require.
The scriptures bear that out, too.
Or maybe that doesn't count in "your book" either?

It is true Christian belief that Jesus is totally God and totally human. In order to be human he had to give up some of the perogatives of being divine including knowing all things. The Gospels say that "He grew in wisdom, age and grace." If he grew in wisdom, he did not have it all to start with.
He did not "know" that he would rise in 3 days. He had to have faith just like we do. He trusted that God (the Father) would not abandon him. But he experienced the feelings of being abandoned just like any person in that situation would. He said "My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?" That was not acting, it was real and from his very human heart.

your wrong, the deciples knew what he was teaching, thay asked him why he spoke in parables, he said, for you it is given to kow the scriptures, but for them it is not, so he spoke in parable for others, not the deciples. This is not a quote, but it means the same as what he said to them.
