1200 calories a day. No more soda, drink water. No candy or chips, don't eat after 7 pm. Eat more fruit and vegetables. Start working out - run the bleachers at school if you can. Keep motivated, when you get older - it's harder to lose weight.

Don't eat any fewer than 1200 calories a day because your body will go into starvation mode. And it's not healthy to lose 3-4 lb a week because you probably won't keep it off. Aim for 1-2 lb per week to make it last.
However...you're 13. You're probably still growing. Don't worry about losing weight right now. Your body will probably even itself out in time. Don't worry so much about how you look...it sounds cliche, but it's true that true beauty is on the inside. You're not overweight and I think you're too young to be worrying about that...just take some time and if you get worried a few years from now do a little more research.

Calories is not what's important to watch. Watch fat, carbohydrates/sugar, and cholesterol. Also you should cut down on your salt. Drink plenty of water, eat fresh fruit and colored veggies. I've lost about 45 lbs. since the end of July.
