Are you addressing moi, or merely one of my million minions? In my philosophy, taken out of a fortune cookie, pain is wanting what you don't have, getting it, and then realizing that it wasn't what you should have pursued in the first place.

My answer: Pain is an evolutionary adaptation to teach you that what your doing is bad for you, and will probably screw you over (genetically speaking) in the near or very near future.
