Read the box. If the recipe says "use 1 cup water" the you want 1/2 cup.

Many of the recipes on the boxes call for a cup of boiling water and another cup of cold water. In that case simply half both the hot and cold, what ever amount the box says use.

This is also how you make the "jigglers" jello cut out treats, more gelatin and less water equals more ruberry when set.

It's not vegetarian. Remember that vegetarians don't eat flesh or flesh by-products. If the product comes from a dead animal (that is, the animal HAD to die to make it), it's not vegetarian. Vegans don't eat products that come from an animal, living or dead. The main difference between "regular" gelatin and "Kosher" gelatin is the source. Kosher gelatin is usually fish. Regular gelatin is mammal.
