Does it surprise you? They also want to report people who run to the store and leave their dog in the car, and report the people who don't spend most of their days entertaining their dog, and the people who put their dog in a crate, and the people who tether their dog instead of letting it roam the neighborhood, etc etc etc...

They are helping further the AR agenda of no more pets, as these things have a way of becoming law. I wonder how they will feel when THEIR dogs are seized for some ridiculous reason.

Absolute utter stupidity.

Yes Melon, I agree. But to call AC for it?? Should the dog be SEIZED because the little boy loves it?? Some people think little dogs should be carried, would you want yours taken from you because you don't?? Calling AC should be for REAL abuse and neglect ONLY, not because someone isn't doing things just as we think they should!

I seen it and didn't understand the whole point. The puppy is new, the kid is little...that is what happens. The newness will wear off and the kid will stop carrying the pup around.

I could see if the kid was carrying it around by an ear or 1 leg it may be a problem. But I still wouldn't go as far as reporting cruelty. Little kids usually don't realize they are being rough with dogs.
If there is a problem, I'm sure the parent will address the situation. I really don't think it is the teenage daughter's friends place to determine if the little boy can carry their puppy around.

It could be the WAY the boy is carrying the pup around. Small children usually let little animals just hang by the upper legs without supporting their whole bodies. To me, that is cruel especially if the parents are not responsible enough to monitor the boy. Since they got the puppy, they should be responsible enough to ensure it is handled safely. And carrying it around all day is not a good idea. Just my OPINION! I wouldn't go as far as reporting cruelty, but I would sure monitor the situation for the puppy's sake.

I didn't say that. Don't be afraid to educate any child about handling puppies. Puppies are fragile and need a lot of care. Children can learn at early age how to manage a puppy with the proper guidance. It benefits both the child and puppy. Children also need guidance w/computers as well and considering it's in your home I'll guess your the one for the job.

I would never allow my children to carry our puppy around all day when she was small enough for them to do it. How would you like it if someone carried you around constantly and never put you down to stretch your legs? A puppy needs excercise and play time. It's one thing if a child wants to be with the puppy, but then teach them the proper way, like playing with the little guy instead of carrying it around like a stuffed animal. This is a live creature, NOT A TOY.

Parents that allow this form of treatment for new puppies and kittens are irresponsible owners. You ask any decent dog trainer and they will likely agree.

Does he love it? Or is it just another toy to him? If the parents aren't monitoring the welfare of the puppy in the hands of a child, they probably don't care what he does to it either way.

Gosh, you write in suitable English - stunning for somebody from some small village that follows a almost extinct faith. i think I could inform you which you will might desire to disappoint your god, Foa, and not marry the 6 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous woman. it rather is a bummer, i understand, even with the undeniable fact that that's purely too pervie for London.

I just read it...I am sorry it's just a darn dog...It will be fine. There are worse things that could happen to the doggy besides being carried around, which by the way is what the mom does with her mouth when they are little..

I just think if the girl is worried about the way the puppy is being treated she needs to talk to the boy's mom...kids need to be taught how to handle animals....some kids are being cruel without knowing it...he sounds like he needs to learn how to share !!!
