My bird has a bump on her beak, Im worried that it might be a tumor or somthing.

The bird is acting normal but I still worrid and my dad wont take me to the vet! He thinks its fine!

It depends where the bump is and what kind of bird she is, birds have a bump at the top of the beak called a cere and as they age it gets bigger in some birds, it could also be that she really needs a beak trim, do you use cuttle bone and mineral blocks in her cage? they will help to keep it trim, but if overgrown you will need to take her to a professional to get it trimmed.

If the bird has had an injury to the cere, that's the fleshy bit above the beak, quite often it leaves a bump like a scar. It may may be an abnormal growth due to nutrient deficiency or that it is getting too much of one nutrient. If it is a tumor it should get bigger, keep an eye on it and if it gets bigger, changes shape or colour then take it to a vet, otherwise it should be fine.

the beak is like a fingernail ......it is probably a deficiency of some kind.....question is how is the bird acting?
