Jesus was made up like santa to make people be "good" and being good for Jesus you are said to get a present, to be able to go to heaven. As like Santa was a real person with no real powers just a good heart, Jesus was the same way

I am really sick of people who have never read a single up-to-date Christian document, yet call Christianity primitive. This is pure hypocracy.
Here is an example. It's Pope Benedict 16th first encyclical that is not even a year old.
http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/benedict_xvi/encyclicals/documents/hf_ben-xvi_enc_20051225_deus-caritas-est_en.html . Most "Christians" hate the Pope for what he is, and ignore everything he says. Real justice, eh?
Another thing about Yahoo Q & A that I am sick of are both the fundies and the pagans who have re-written history with nonsense that no reliable historian would ever accept. They swallow down whole every lie ever written just because someone has a fake degree from a diploma mill. The biggest target is not the Muslems (really from the desert) but the Catholic Church. go figure.

What is the 21st Century doing for you? How if it strengthening your soul and those of your loved ones? How has technology made you happy, fulfilled and loved? Do you love your computer is it warm, cozy, loving, and make you feel alive? The 21st Century is all about Technology. Where is that taking us? It is zapping our time and our health and our relationships. Do we spend quality time with our kids, parents, spouce or with our computers, cellphones, I-pods, and televisions?
I think I would rather live in the desert (and I do) and be quiet and nuture my soul and pray to God rather than put the computer on a pedestle and pray to it.
You got a long road ahead. Get informed.

Does not bother me in the least. I can always choose to ignore it, if I get tired of it. But religions have always interested me, whether as a believer or as an agnostic. I have been both. I believe in being tolerant. I would not as a Christian try to force my religion on anyone else, nor as an agnostic force my lack of concrete beliefs on anyone. I find fanatical Christianity (or any other religion) and rabid atheism equally distasteful and detestable, but I try my best to be tolerant of all points of view. If people become to strident in their discourse, I can easily tune them out. Sometimes it is as simple a matter as gently closing a door. I try not to slam it in anyone's face. People deserve some respect. Or most anyways.

Most of the prophecy in the Bible has to do with our generation. I suggest you study Matthew 24 and Luke 21 real close.

There you go. The first answer would solve your supposed problem by taking you back even farther to primitive paganism. Now that seems very enlightened!! Not.

It's the Religion section so that's where we will talk about Religion.
And since the predominent religion in the U.S. is Christianity than that means?????
You should not come onto the Religion section if you don't like religion.
Ta-ta.
