Maybe get information on the process of becoming legal. From a real source, not just by what people say in the media. Then debate on why they don't do that before they come here illegally. Show everyone that it is just a process that is not impossible. One of the main reasons they have to come here illegally is because of a criminal background or no stable history.
They also don't feel like paying the couple thousand dollars. Well, a doctor has to go through a process to become a doctor and has to shell out thousands for school, etc. They feel it is worth it. Why don't the illegals feel that it is worth it to come here to go through the process they are supposed to?

are you doing an essay? cause if you are you can write aabout statistics, your opinion, and how they have influenced the united states. well i hope this helps you. cause you know, an essayh has 5 paragraphs. the intro, 3 paragraphs that are called the body and then the closing. good luck! if u need more help aske me. im good at giving info.

how about the procedure on obtaining a work permit to the USA, so they won't have to be illegal while they are here working the jobs the Americans don't want.
in my opinion, if a person is willing to work the jobs which WE Americans don't want, why not let them work here for us, with the proper paperwork. give them an opportunity, oh yeah, make them pay taxes as well as we do, if they want to work here legally..
