Somehow atheism is a choice, but Christianity is forced. Frankly, there are many who choose Christianity, even out of atheism. Does this just not register with them?

In other words, no, you don't get it.

They somehow get the idea that hearing about God for a couple of Holidays a year, and maybe a couple of hours on Sunday, is more of a 'brainwashing' then the evolution-supporting atheistic doctrines peddled everywhere from cradle to grave, all day every day. Stories, science books, cartoons, and whatever marketing they can put together, that propagates a view of a Godless 'ancient' earth millions of years old with not ONE piece of 'irrefutable' evidence!

They are so brainwashed they don't even see what brainwashing is. At least Christianity relies on witnesses, but secular evolutionists keep trying to sell overlapping theories as facts!

I don't understand that either. Of course, christians make a choice. You cannot be born a christian, and no one can force you to be a christian. It is a personal choice just like atheism. Because of what we christians believe, we have to witness to everyone, but they have a choice whether to believe or not.

Atheism IS a choice because most Atheists are raised religious and choose otherwise. The people that are Christian are generally brainwashed from childhood not to question and just to accept. Thats not a choice.

It's not all atheists. It is a stereotype just like all Christians are hypocrites. A hypocrite by definition is saying to do something and doing the opposite. We can ask why all the time and never get an answer pleasing to everyone. I was never forced and only became a Christian 5 years ago.

Um... I didn't choose to be a non believer, it's just how I was raised and who I am.

For one, non belief is the default. It's not chosen, it just exists as the reality for those not raised in a religion, who did not decide to become religious, or who let go of religion.

Because it is the default, being religious is the choice though most are raised in as their family made that choice rather then having made it themselves.

Christianity is a choice as much as atheism is.
It's just like choosing to eat hamburger or a salad.
Christianity is never really imposed on anyone. We are allowed to practice our own free will.

People are *usually* born Christian, or brainwashed into Christianity by missionaries or Catholic High Schools.

Unless you live in like China, Atheism's usually a choice.

Some christians chose their religion but MOST were a victim of geography. How many christians do you think would still be christians had they been adopted by a muslim family and moved to Iran as a baby????
Do you think it is a coincidence that christianity was the dominant religion during the foundation of our country and it still is today? Environment and geography have much more influence on a person's religious beliefs than "choice".

Atheists can't handle the possibility that hell exists. This "choice" allows them to live the lifestyle without offense.

a. atheists rule out God, then absolute truth, which allows freedom to choose their own path without conscience.
b. atheists do not want anyone telling them they could be wrong.

They won't stop me from my freedom to proclaim the truth, no matter how hard their hearts are.

My freedom.
