there are two concerns when committing to dealing with someone that is an internet entity.
first is the potential for identity theft. -although we are free to spill our guts and aire our dirty laundry like we might not otherwise do in any public forum. Online, we do so with the veil of ambiguity.
Identity theft is the worlds fastest growing crime.
second is the potential you are dealing with a sexual predator-
this is because you dont know this man and met him on the internet.
my reccommendation is just to be smart and you were wise to slow down his hustle however legitamite his interest may seem. If you're not sure he really likes you then that is a very good instinct because obviously he doesn't know everything about you.
I would maintain contact with someone I met online for maybe a month or so before inviting them to a phone conversation and limit personal information exchange. make sure he also sacrifices personal information at the same level of revealing oneself that you do. Dont ever give anyone the upper hand in that regard. If this seems like a good venue to meeting new people for romance purposes, well to each thier own is all I can say. Just somehow try to maintain personal information security while being hit on online. If you do eventually ever go out of your way to meeting this person make sure its in a very casual public setting where your safety will be inherent, and nobody's ego or hopes will be crushed if things dont seem to be so wonderful between each of you. For God's sake dont be planning a trip to the Bahamas etc kinda thing with someone you meet online. Thats how girls end up disappearing.

Well, did he say he liked you?
Maybe he wanted to meet you because he was really a 38 y/o pervert that wanted to rape and kill you.
There is NO way to know for sure online.
There are more people on the planet than ever. If your Grandparents could meet and fall in love without aid of the Internet, so can you.

Nowadays it's very hard to feel if a guy is inlove with you especially through the screen...much better if he'll invites you to eat outside...and in that way you will be able to know him more...because if you'll come face to face with a guy, the more you'll see if he's true....Coming close to him through the screen is just like falling inlove with the computer not the person behind it...
And if you'll go out with him...you will really feel if he really is inlove with you.....t.c.

Don't fall for it, it's a trap by some cyber perv. I know, I almost fell for the exact same thing except it was a chik and not a dude. Don't talk to this guy again.

first off, this person can be interested in you but you can't like somebody unless the two of you met and took the time to get to know eachother. but really, meeting somebody over the internet is not clever. please do not just meet anyone that you talk to online.

He likes you all right - he wants to take advantage of a sweet little thing. This guy is probably 50 and married. Or maybe he isn't a guy after all.
