Well it's all a thing of opinion, but if your speaking of liquor straight with no mixers than I would say brandy over the rocks. Something I think many people haven't looked into enough since it's not the most popular things in the world, but more people should try. There's more flavors in brandy that are intended to be aprreciated aside from the buzz than with other liquors. Would almost drink it if it was alcohol free, almost :)

1. Absolut Vodka mixed with anything.
2. Tequila, Jose Quervo(you are a friend of mine)- Tequila sunrise, Strawberry Margaritas
3. Jack Daniels or Black Velvet whiskey, shots or whiskey sour
4. Baileys Irish cream, Kahlua, or Amaretto - in coffee
5. Corona Extra beer w/lime
6. Cinnamon schnapps (Hot Damn! brand)
Not a fan on gin or rum

1. I think gin is one of the most disgusting substances I have ever had the misfortune to have in my mouth.
2. You're listing hard liquors that often go in mixers. Of those, straight up, I'll go for tequila every time. I'm a big tequila fan. I've even ordered red bull & tequila, which made the waitress blink. But especially for the poorman's budget, I think house tequila beats house vodka every time.
Outside of those, I'll take a good port or, funny enough, marsala (which is usually used in cooking, but I like to drink it straight.

Vodka is defenantly not a girl drink, just look at the Russians, tell your friends if their girlfriends drink it, they'll have to were babushkas. Alcohol is measured in proof, most liquor is 80 or 86 proof. Good booze shoudn't be mixed, Scotch is a good drink on the rocks, real manly, Rum you can mix with coke.. Get a book on mixed drinks, it will tell you what is best. Mr. Boston is a good one.. Cheers.

I love margaritas but they're usually made with tequila. I like rum better so when I make 'em at home I use the clear Bacardi rum.
Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum is really good mixed with a soda like coca-cola.

I don't drink very often, but if I do my drink of choice is Smirnoff Raspberry vodka and lemonade.
