I like to eat healthy, but I'm getting kind of bored with my eating plan. I would like to have a variety of food to chose from. What are some ideas?

When looking for vegetables - try to stay with the 'greens' and away from starchy vegetables, like potatos (eat them more seldom)
When eating bread, keep in mind 'brown' is better - look for WHOLE grain bread (not just bran).
When buying poultry - get the white meat - like the breast.
When buying meats - look for the leanest you can buy.
When you buy fruit - try to stay with berries (any type)

It's good to have a piece of dark chocolate, every day (at least 60% cocoa butter). It's one of the top 3 foods....

Also, the more 'sugar' in food - the more 'unhealthy' you are eating.... so ....

I've been eating low carb for about 13 years..... very healthy - it's eating like a diabetic....if you go to the store you can buy little pocketbooks on HIGH GLYCEMIC foods.... try to stay away from them. I'm sure there's a list on-line too.

Some ideas:
- eat more fruits and vegetables.
- avoid fried food
- opt for steamed or grilled chicken or turkey breast
- lessen your red meat intake
- choose high fiber food such as wheat bread, cereals, oatmeal
- choose lowfat or sugarfree meals

hope this helps
