When i use my paper shredder it interferes with tv and VCR causing alot of static on tv.

all these answers are correct. the best thing you can do is move the shredder onto a different circuit. the motor in the shredder is powerful and sloppy. if you install a power conditioner on the tv, it will help, but you should do both(move shredder & install power conditioner on tv.

Try moving the paper shredder to another outlet.
If this does not help then Radio Shack or any electronics store will have an adapter or plug that will help eliminate your interference.

You need a "Noise Supresser". These can be had with good UPS (uninteruptable power supply) units or even a simple one with some power strips.

You need to use different circuits for the equipment. Check your circuit breaker box to see which outlets are on which circuits. Plug the audio/video stuff into one circuit, and the other interfering equipment into a different circuit.

it depends, you might have a bad ground wire in one or both plugs. remember to shut the main power off before you take a look at them! if your house isn't that old (25ish years) you shouldn't have a problem like this other then bad ground wire somewhere. i would check the ground rod too.

you cant , its cause all that powers being sucked up , so you'll just have to deal with it wont ya
