I own a Knight .50 cal and have hunted Whitetail deer with it for about 15 years now. I use a 385 gr. Hornady Great Plains bullet (HPHB) and 130 grains of FFG. Shoots great out to about 120-130 yards or so then bullet drop becomes severe and you've got to aim high. Shoots a few inches high at 50 yards, but not bad. I've killed about a dozen deer with it and bullet performance is excellent with proper placement. No animal I shot with this ever moved more than about 30 yards before expiring. Drawbacks are range considerations, reliability of ignition, and fouling.
