In the Koran, does it actually say (specifically) that muslim women should cover themselves with a head scarf or veil? If so what is the quote and can you point me to where it can be found? (eg. Which verse of which chapter in which book)

Qur'an (translation)

[33:59] O Prophet, tell your wives and daughters and the believing women to draw their outer garments around them (when they go out or are among men). That is better in order that they may be known (to be Muslims) and not be annoyed...

[24:30-31] Say to the believing man that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that will make for greater purity for them; and Allah is well acquainted with all that they do. And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; and that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what must ordinarily appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands...

Surah 33:59

Prophet! Tell thy wives and thy daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close round them (when they go abroad). That will be better, so that they may be recognized and not annoyed. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.

So the Quran says that women should wear the veil so that they can be recognized (as pious Muslim women) and then no one would bother flirting or annoying them. There are other reasons given in Hadith but I am just showing the Quran.

Al Quran and Hadith are basic guidance for all mankind since Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. pointing out Al-Quran and Sunnah (or Hadith) as a guidance and saving all humanity from any misunderstanding and disastrous.

If you belive Muhammad as in one syahadah, hadith is a must to be obliged. Hadith is a way of Muhammad s.a.w. doing his daily routine life in every aspect of life.

The question for the questioner, why The Nun (Female Christian Priest) wearing headscarf all the time but why all female Christians didn't. Are Christians do what logical believe not suppose what the Bible or Christ obliged you to do?
I think Christians are more cheating themselves but always offend muslim as something idiots.

NO Where!

I am muslim my self and when i bring this forth they dont agree with me at all and call names. Then they start Quoting Hadiths, little do they know that the Hadith were Complied 200 years after the Departure of the Holy Prophet(PBUH),and sects had already formed.Hence the Authenticity of Hadith is Questionable whereas the Authenticity of the Quran is notSince the first orignal compilation is still in a museam in egypt.Yet theese idiots dont realize it.The Quran tells a woman to dress modestly.nowhere does it mention a compulsion in Viel.

I'm pretty sure that's just a tradition that the Arabs took from the Persians when they "jihaded" them. Although the Koran is pretty sexist (not that the Old Testament doesn't also express very outdated perceptions of women).
