other recent studies point to the plaque NOT being the cause of brain damage, but rather the symptom. The retention of improperly formed protein strands INSIDE the cells is likely to be the cause of cellular death.

There is one that came out about 6 months ago. Also check with homeopaths, A friend of mines father was put on a regimen of vitamins and minerals and it kept the effects of Alzheimer's at bay for an additional 5 years. Her father was bad to start with and he got somewhat better with the vitamins and minerals.

Try Aricept( donepezil) it is one of the newer medications for this disorder.Reminyl is another one for mild to moderate Alzheimer's dementia.Namenda(memantine hydrochloride) is a new one that's been out for about a year or so. Good luck with your search.

Not new. But, just heard yesterday on T V that POT has been found to deter Alzheimer's..
Probably be a popular solution.
