i hear that this Hennessey Viper Venom 1000 is the fastest car in the world right now, even faster than the Mclaren F1. is it?

well actually the fastest cars in the world are the ones that hold the land speed record, they break the sound barrier. But hennessey's vipers are extremely fast, faster than the Mclaren f1 i dont think so they may claim they are but i would like to see a race on a road track to determine which is faster, yea the viper venom claims 255, but when are you going to be able to open it up and get to 255, at bonneville, thats about the only place i can think of. That is legally.

The thing about foreign cars is that almost everyone of them has to be tuned down to be legal in the US so take these numbers lightly. Also (and I am a viper lover but) the Venom is a tuned manufactured car, It took the second time around to make it this "fastest" production car in the US. Don't get me wrong its COOL.

Not true.
The McLaren F1 still tops any race with its 700hp motor and it sits real light too. A recent bugatti was a serious contender

no i dont think it is the fastest and no it will not reach 255, the fastest production car is the bugatti veyron with a top speed of 240 MPH.

the viper is the most amazing car in the world and yes it is true on ripleys believe it or not it out raced a jet place ( or it lost by 0.01 seconds )
