Many find this charachter a little on the offensive side at times the way he came accross judging people and not inviting them in a way that only God could do to be better people, more civilized. But Jesus had some good qualities too. What do you think is sooo worth worshipping about his life on earth?

He didn't have to go through with the Crucifixion, but He did. What could be more admirable than that level of compassion?

I like the fact that he pointed to God's Kingdom as mankinds only solution. Matt 6:9,10
Today many people, Nations and Religious leaders are looking to the United Nations to solve the world's problems. Take North Korea for example. But soon God's Kingdom with Jesus Christ as King will take over control of earth's affairs. Then finally good hearted people will enjoy this earth forever. See Ecc 1:4 and Daniel 2:44 and psalms 37:9-11

He lived a sinless life - He sacrificed Himself for us.

He was not self righteous and the people he had the most problems with were the religious leaders of that day. He met with the most hated and disrespected people in society such as prosititues, tax collectors, samaritans (who other jews did not approve of at the time) and spoke to women in public which was also looked down upon by the religious leaders of that day. He went against the grain and personified love. He showed us the way to restored relationship with God. He led a perfect life. No one will ever accomplish this again.

He healed the sick and raised the dead. He took our punishment for us on the cross. Words cannot express the debt of gratitute...

He was humble, a servant king - He was God incarnate who took on human form and visited and revealed Himself to all people

CS Lewis had an interesting idea about Jesus and I believe it to be true -

You must decide He is either Lord, lunatic or liar.

You cannot say that Jesus was just a good man becase he himself claimed to be the son of God and that He and the Father were one - if this was not true he was either mad or a liar. I choose Him as my Lord.

What is not to like? There are soooooooo many neat things.

If I can only list one, it would be the way He lifted women up as spiritual equals along with the men. His treatment of women was just sooooo radical for His day, and even for our own! He NEVER beat them down, or told them their only place was "in the kitchen, yada yada yada". Instead, He accepted women as disciples also, reaffirmed their humanity, rescued them from religious bigotry, and even chose women as the first witnesses for His ressurection! Is that cool, or what?

I just like the example he set on how to live: Never get married. Never have a child. Never invest or make any attempt to build wealth. Never drive a car or own any manefestation of technology, not even a bicycle. Never go to a doctor. Never persue higher education. Never plan for retirement.

I think thats an example all christians can follow!

He left heaven to live as a man so that he could suffer and die on a cross. Then go to hell in my place so that I could be saved, but he didn't have to; it was pure LOVE. Jesus could have stayed in heaven and not bothered with saving man from hell, but he did save us, at least those whom confess and believe! I don't think anyone can beat that, or even come close. Jesus rocks baby!!

Every time in my life when things have gotten out of control and I've even thought about suicide, I have always thought--I just want someone to tell me things will be alright.--Jesus is that person.
