I have found many people that have tried to prove the reality of a fantastic (wonderful, full of wonder), remarkable (able to give something more, or speak on the subject) and strange() notion that there is a certain character known as the devil who makes people do all wrong things, but I think this is misunderstading, and I think that this is a misunderstanding. Yes if anyone is adept at poetry thank you.(If you have any question about the last sentence means, it is my own proof against the devil, but if I feel that it is appropriate I'll include it in my commentary) Also A question for christians. Is there any proof in the bible that if one thinks lucifer a force of nature rather than a big red person with a pitch fork is he actually following a big red person with a pitchfork, thank in advance,
ps:if anyone is trying to solve my riddle, in my first sentence I said "this is misunderstanding" and then a said "a misunderstanding"
yours truly

Apparently the Devil is willing to share misconception with regards to what scripture says. For instance the devil would be willing to lead one to take a scripture that clearly says with God to mean is God. I have a friend Jirah in a way I am him. He dictates what I do and when I represent him since I have his power of atty. I get to sign his name, Those documents carry the same weight as those with His signature so I am perceived as him. When someone sees us together they say I am with Jirah. Jirah provides everything upon which I sleep eat, drink, and breath all belongs to Jirah. He is my provider but I am not Him in other senses of the Word yet in fact He lives inside of me so Am I Jirah or is Jirah I AM. If you do not understand that it is because the Devil has whispered in your ear and you believed him. Twisting scripture is a mistake and having an I'm not sure file is a far better method of dealing with tricky areas. Now we look in a mirror darkly and to say different is a lie I mean mistake. Luckily Jesus will forgive you even if you think more exclusively then He does, and me if I less exclusively. So yeah the Devil shares stuff.

No, nobody has any proof one way or the other. Well, not anybody who is credible enough to be believed.
It's like in the movie Constantine. When Constantine is talking to Gabriel, he says that he believes in God and the Devil and hell and all that (he actually went to hell for a while and then was brought back to life.) She says, no, you don't believe, you KNOW. Her point was, it didn't count if he believed in the afterlife because he had proof that it existed. But the whole point of existence is that you don't know about an afterlife until you're dead and you have no proof until then. You can believe or not--but nobody knows because there's no proof either way that the Devil exists. So neither side is wrong. Or right. You can't decide conclusively either way.
But I will say that an awful lot of the Heaven/Hell/Devil "theology" came up in the Middle Ages, with morality plays and witch hunts and the struggle for the "Church"'s dominance over politics and society. Which they didn't exactly win. But they tried! They took traditional Pagan and folklore ideas and turned them into a big crazy story about the Devil and demons and a whole bunch of angels and used the whole mess to discount the stories of old gods and goddesses and nature spirits, stuff like that. Nobody believed much in Hell until Dante's Inferno (a satire wherein Dante imagined torments for all the people who had wronged him.) Then, people started glomming onto the idea of a realm of torment for sinners who didn't repent. Plus, Christianity borrowed ideas for Hell from Islam and maybe even Buddhism (the ancient world was much more cosmopolitan than a lot of people think.) So if viewed in the light of history and literary criticism, hell isn't quite as religious as you might think.
It's all about social control, dude! Get the people flipped out over eternal damnation, and they'll start praying, giving money to the church, confessing their sins and buying indulgences...they'll come to believe that thinking independently and railing against corrupt churches and governments are somehow wrong. They'll be too concerned with the state of their souls to realize that they're not sheep, they're lambs being led to the slaughter. And if you don't believe, you're a witch or a heathen, or, GASP, unpatriotic! Why is it that good people who don't fall in line with the religious right in the US are branded as unpatriotic? Because the religious right is trying to regain social control! Think of the devil in those terms, and the guy looks a lot different, and somehow...very familiar.

I can't heads nor pitch-fork tails out of your question.
1) I take the Bible literally. Meaning Lucifer was an angel and fell from grace. He is now the devil, or Satan or whatever you want to call him.
2)The red pitchfork devil is an artist's rendering. Lucifer was God's most beautiful angel. We would all avoid a red devil looking guy - but his true beauty can fool us so we have to be careful

I find it absolutely ridiculous that you think theres proof one way or the other. No one has proof. The only "proof" that exists that say the devil exists are words in a 2000 year old book written by man.

Lucifer, the Arch Angle of white light was cast down from the heavens because he questioned God. Samiel, another Arch Angel descended of his own free will. Samiel was the serpent who tempted Eve with the apple. Many more Arch Angels were either cast down by God or descended of their own free will. So there is either no devil or thousands of them. Take your pick.

Proof that there is no Devil? The Devil has kept Christianity in business for years. He is the best thing to befall the Christian church.
