Thank you Gracie Macie. It is refreshing to hear someone not run us down and accept that we share the same Lord and Savior.

Analyzing all the various answers to your question, I get the impression that no one really understands why salvation is a free gift of God, and not due to any man's works.
Who could do anything to force God to grant him salvation?
No one!
Jesus did the work. Only Jesus gets to set the terms.
But once Jesus' gracious terms for our salvation have been met, every prayer, every sacrament, every sacrifice, every work done in God's name gives him glory, praise, and honor, and stores up treasure (merit) for us in heaven.
The authentic Holy Eucharist is God's foremost channel of grace, and the source and summit of all Christian existence, enabling us to literally and physically "walk with God".
Adam and Eve enjoyed walking with God in Eden. The Blessed Virgin and the apostles walked with Jesus in and around Judea.
Why shouldn't we all? Isn't that what our faith is all about?
And is one time truly enough for us, as some claim?
Of course not!
Those who cling to late faith traditions which fail to recognize this, based on skewed interpretations of the Bible, crafted by false teachers, will never know what they're missing, until it's too late.

The second question that you just asked only shows the reason why catholics are Not considered Christians and also the way you ,Yourself asked this question "Your faith teaches" Why ask this if you are trying to make a point? You just proved that you think your faith is superior and you wonder why other religions and non religions bash catholics.Christ came once to die for all our sins and every time you take that communion and confess him into your hearts, you are saying that he didn't come into ur heart and he must die again for your salvation. These are works and presents the difference without Christianity and Catholicism. Not by works should any man should boast. Eph 2:8,9 What you just did is exactly that!
Christians and catholics are different in doctrine/rituals but not different when worshiping the same GOD. OUR DOCTRINES AND RITUALS SHOULD BE PUT ASIDE AND OUR FOCUS MUST BE ON UNITY AND GOD. (Sorry about the caps)
.
May God help and have mercy on you! Amen
Shalom

Yes I do realize Catholic people ask Christ into their hearts at Communion and I also understand you believe you are partaking of the literal body and blood of Christ.
But really there is no point and nothing to be gained by engaging in such conversation. I can with equal sincerity say that Catholics refuse to let other Christians partake of the Communion.
So let's just accept each other and move on with life by doing the best we can.

Communion is to remember what Jesus did the night he was betrayed. He took the bread and BROKE it(it wasn't a round" Queen of heaven" host)as he sat there with his flesh on his body and the blood in his veins and said "Take eat,do this in "remembrance" of me.When Jesus talked to his many disciples in John 6,he talked about "eating his flesh and drinking his blood"and alot of the disciples departed, they got freaked out. Then he said"The words I speak are spiritual, the flesh profits NOTHING".
That why transubstantiation is not correct doctrine.
One need only to ask Christ into their heart, once. Then you are cleansed from all sin. After that, you just need to" wash up"now and again(Confess your sins to Him)
Also I don't get it,Jesus said "call no man on earth Father(not meaning your Pop)"Yet you will call a priest Father? Not being mean here I know Catholics are Christians, there's just a lot of unnecessary nonsense.

You are according to the bible, to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior once. After you do this, you should feel a need to read and reread your bible. You will feel led, as you grow in your personal walk with the Lord, to obey his word that is written.
But if you do not read it for yourself, how do you know that it is from God? That is what really takes you off Gods path and onto mans path.
The church spoken of in the bible is not a building at all. The bible states that the church is flesh and blood, made up of believers to do the work and the will of God. He is the head, we are the body(church).
What I really would like to see you feel led to do, is to read your bible and then ask questions based on the differences that you find between Gods words and mans words.

Psh. Catholics believe Christ and worship him...what else is there to Christianity? I'm a protestant and will probably never be Catholic, but I've seen Catholics and their reverance for Christ...there's no way you guys aren't Christians. I don't agree with a lot of your doctrine, but I know you guys are saved.

For those who come to God in The Way He proscribes, and receive His free gift of Salvation, once is enough. Because Once is forever. These become The Body of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. Only those of The Church will be with Him forever.

Yes, that is true that in receiving Communion we invite Christ into our hearts. But before we can even make that act, we have to receive him in Baptism.

Yes, I know that. And I'm an Episcopalian. So we both belong to a religious tradition that highly values the Holy Eucharist.

It is the law of God that is to be in our hearts (the center of the mind) and acceptance of Christ makes that possible.
