I am communicating with a guy that I met online via email. We have been emailing each other back and forth. I am getting a little tried of it. I would rather talk on the phone. Should I make the move and give him my phone number? Or should I wait until he asks for my number?

Depends on how old you are, if your an adult than be bold and say hey My computer is getting fixed and I wont have it for a week you should call me so we can keep up with eachother my number is blah blah blah!!! No doubt that is the best way that was you don't look desperate and in hte long run you can say you moved things forward!!!! Good luck!! If your under 18 keep your head on straight and keep it e-mail there are to many people out there that will take advantage of you and you can always meet cool people at school or the malls!!!!

When I would meet someone online, I would take my time and let the relationship develop. Not that I didn't want to meet the person but rather it is the male that has gotten the creepy online label. So offer the connection and don't feel odd that you were the assertive one.
However it may be better if you can call him at his number.
I met my girlfriend online, she said hey lets meet for a coffee, and that was after 2 e-mails :)....we have been together ever since !

Ask for his number, and call him. I met my wife online in a chat room. We talked for two hrs online and 4 hrs on the phone and met the next day.

Better yet, ask him for his number. That way he doesn't have your number until you can find out more about him. Its just not safe to give your number out these days.

If you want to talk to him on the phone, say "Wouldn't it be nice to see how our voices sound to one another, we should talk on the phone soon!" Give him time to respond... If you've been talking awhile I wouldn't see any reason he wouldn't want to talk to you on the phone.
