okay i already know your not suppsossed to be gay or a lesbian. but i mean we all fall short of god's glory. But doesn't being bi kind of set it over the edge. My friend is bi and she is still religous, and so does that mean she won't go to heaven. Me, i don't care that she is, not a big deal. But it's just not me. People can be whatever they want to be as long as they don't pull me to hell.

There is no such thing as a true bi-sexual because sexual orientation is a preference. Most who claim to be bi are homosexual.
Can a homosexual become a Christian?
Yes, they make a tremendous sacrifice by abstaining from homosexual activity, a bigger sacrifice than a heterosexual (who may only have to give up adultery or other abberant behavior).
Going to heaven is a different issue.
As children we are taught fables.
You make the teachings of Christ of no effect by your man-made traditions.
One man-made tradition is "good people go to heaven when they die and bad people go to hell when they die."
Isn't it time we transcended the fables of childhood?
No one has gone to heaven except the Son of man (John 3:13).
And hell?

Where are they?
In their graves!
"Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth, they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation" (John 5:28-29).
The King James "damnation" is from lthe Greek word "krisis", meaning "contesting".
The "contesting" takes place in a second physical life after the 1000 years. The vast majority of mankind is not being called now.
Some of the ones who are "contesting" in the future will still not repent. And they will cease to exist. The words "you only live twice" will be only too true for them.

Technically - it never in the bible prohibits female-female relations. Check it out, it pretty explicitly says that a man is not allowed to lay with another man, or another mans wife etc. but nothing about woman vs woman.
Marriage is also a worldly tradition - there is no marriage in heaven (it was only instituted after the garden of eden). I would guess its for the protection of children. I can't say what Gods intentions are though, and I think that you would have to be careful with finding out what the bible really says.
In the end, the most important verses of the bible have nothing to do with sexuality, but it does say that if you acknolodge Jesus as the Lord, and believe God raised him from the dead - you will be saved. (thats a horrible misquote, but its along those lines).

If your friend truly wishes to be Christian (since there are many ways of being religious without a Christian), God will give her the will and the strength to change.
So your problem with your friend is that if she's doing something wrong you don't want to have anything to do with her because she might "pull you to hell"? Wow, that's so "unselfish" of you!

the 'can I be gay and still be saved' question is asked every day here. the answer is yes. all sin and fall short of the glory of God. But, proof of God in us, is that we start dropping sinful habits and learn to love and respect. So, the evidence of her salvation will come or not show.....depending on if she was honest in asking and desiring salvation

I think we have lost sight of repentance. Jesus said we needed to repent.
Anyone can come to Christ but we need to repent. Biblically sex is only allowed in marriage and in the context of having one lifetime partnership (until death do us part). It sounds like your friend has not come to an understanding of the sacredness of sex as far as the bible is concerned. This is not christian behaviour and the bible says you will know them by their fruit.

You can be a christian even if your gay or are a lesbian BUT you may not act on your sexual desires. Then it becomes a sin.

She's a Christian in defiance, she knows it is wrong, eventually she will have to deal with it.It is not the unforgivable sin but it is sin nonetheless. She'll either stop it or get so callous ,she'll fade away.

According to Leviticus, no. But of course, according to Leviticus, if you eat shrimp you're gonna burn in hell as well. So what does it matter?

Most likely if she has sexual feelings for both sexes, she can't help it - but she can help practicing it. she has to fight those feelings and not practice it - it is forbidden by God.
