Atkins hands down. Been eating this way now 2 years. Before I yo-yoed up and down. The only way I could keep my weight off was to make myself puke or starve myself. For once I can actually really eat as long as it's legal low carb. I do not gain. I lost 50 pounds and kept it off and love this way of eating that isn't a diet but my lifestyle! I like this better than South Beach because I am not limited to low fat items and can eat the good stuff and my cholesterol is totally perfect! I am healthy and my Doctor likes that my husband and I do Atkins too. He said that this in not an unhealthy diet at all. That the flak people give Atkins are from people who just have not researched it.

The one writer is correct about weight watchers. Although I have never tried it my self, I know many people that got help from that program.
Try keeping your elbow straight when you eat. Ok joke over.
Exercise every day. Walking fast is as good as jogging. Stairs not the elevator. If you use weights, use light ones and do fast reps- or you will gain muscle which can be good bacause although muscle weighs more than fat having muscle means you get to eat more!
Eat a balanced diet with the REMOVAL of SUGAR! and dont switch to the artifical sweetners because they are known appetite stimulants. (I have gained weight using them)
Stop eating salt. (hard to do but read all labels) Try
Drink lots of water instead of Pop & juice especially before meals
Unsweetened tea is ok
If you are a muncher pick things like carrots & cellery which can give a full feeling without adding callories but have healthy fiber.
Avoid Pasta opt for Stir fry instead.
If you try to REMOVE a food like starch completely from your diet you may be doing more harm than good. Balance is everything. Studdied food and nutrition for years, was overweight teen am now grandma who holds weight down.(so they tell me) I stopped living to eat and started eating to live years ago. Please do not ruin your health with some fad diet. My friends Dad had a heart attatck on that stupid Atkins diet. Nothing is worth having a heart attack over. If you slip just keep trying. Eventually you will change your bad habbits and NO FAST FOOD (taco bell is ok sometimes supposed to be lesser of the evils.) 2 soft tacos - no beans Forget the Scale The MIRROR is the truth. I eat a lot of vegetables, try not to eat more than 4ounces of meat and some fruit sometimes. Crackers, not cookies Choices Choices! Have that BLT with Bacos or less bacon olive oil products are good. when full, stop eating. eat less and more often. It works!

The Movie Star Diet. I lost 50 pounds with it after only five months, and I couldn't be happier. I've tried a lot of different diets (Atkins, South Beach, and Weight Watchers, etc.) and none of them worked anywhere near as well as this one. It's definitely worth a shot if you really want to see a difference in a short time.

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

Do a Google search for Dr. Peter Gott's "no flour, no sugar" diet. It's really simple: Don't eat foods that have added flour or sugar, and you'll cut your calorie intake dramatically. No worry about trying to follow fancy diet plans. I've tried this and it has worked really well. Combine that with regular exercise such as walking and bicycling to burn more calories and keep in shape.

Just because a particular diet worked for someone does not mean that it will work for you. Design your own weight loss plan and stick to it. A whole lot of information on a weightloss diet and exercises is available at http://tinyurl.com/jax5h
