Im doing a research paper for my 9th grade english honers class and im having a very hard time finding information. Ive allready got the full amount of information from boooks and i need some from the internet. Ive looked and its extremely difficult to find. Please enclose NOT A ANSWER but a site that is all right for information, and anything you might add with that. Thanks very much!

Most pharma companies have information on their websites (GSK, Pfixer, AstraZ, Novartis etc)
There is also a US government site that contains many links (see source)

I don't know of any sites - but I know that the development of new medicines is a very complex process.
Many times the medicine will prove out to be an excellent cure in the lab - an absolute panacea in the test tube - but when it is tested on an animal, many unintended consequences occur due to the complexity and inter reactions with other substances.
Sometimes the side effects are mild, sometimes they are lethal - better to find out through thorough testing than after it is marketed to the general public.
Even when every conceivable precaution is taken, long term effects on humans will still not be fully known. It is for these reasons that animal testing is vital to try and ascertain the effectiveness and safety of new medicines.
And remember, after all the preliminary work is done - it goes into test trials with human subjects.

take a look at the university labs eg pharmocology that use animals and the benifits or the regulations that universities have to follow. reference using animals in research
