I am 13 and I weight 175 and I am 5'8 inches tall. I always feel like I am fat my firends say that I am anorxic because I always refuse to eat but I just feel so FAT. I stopped eating like yesterday I only had one meal...for fear of gaining weight. My mom says no matter how hard I try that I will always be big-boned I dont want to change that but I feel like I have a low self-esteem because i feel so FAT!!!

Oh gal you are like me. I weighed that much to at 13 and was called fat and even picked on for being too tall and too big. I was bigger that the other kids that is all. It ruined my self-esteem. It took half my life to get my self worth back.

Please don't stop eatting or your body will gain more weight as it thinks it is going to starve. You need to get a book at the library on healthy eatting for life. If you change your eatting habits and cut way down on fast food and bad snacks you will lose. Eat more veggies, fruit, meats, eggs, 2 slices bread a day, drink milk (not soda not even diet soda) and juice and tea. You will lose. Get some exercise. You can even dance at home in front of the TV with a video. Or go walking with friends at the part or your neighborhood. You need to exercise your muscles and your heart for good health. Get physical. Go to a local gym its fun.

As you get muscles and lose a little weight (20 lbs) you will feel better. But if you keep skipping meals you can ruin your health. Your hair can fall out, nails get brittle, skin get blotchy and dry, you can get zits, flabby, weak, and depressed.

It is not worth your health and happiness. Concentrate on making your life your top priority.

You are not anorexic or fat. Just eat about 1670 calories per day and start execising. You will lose weight slowly. For your height you probably only need to lose 10-15lbs. Don't overreact. Be sensible. If you starve yourself your body will be all out of whack and your metabolism will get slow.

Oh and there IS such a thing as BIG boned. You are categorized as small, medium or large boned according to the size of your frame. This is measured various ways. One simple way is at the wrist.

First of all there is NO such thing as "big boned". If your mother is large than chances are she has given you the "fat gene", or you've picked up her slow metabolism or bad eating habits. At thirteen, there is a big chance that you will loose a lot of baby fat around your face and neck. But as for being anorexic...honey you gotta skip WAY more than two meals to be anorexic. At your age height and weight you are overweight. Next time you go for a check up, tell your doctor so he can give you some diet ideas. Start taking a nice 20 minute walk after school around the block, or ask your mom to join you. Try your hardest in PE, it's a good workout. Don't eat past 8pm. And don't over do it on the snacks. You'll be fine, hon.

eating one meal a day doesnt help let me tell you that first. the one meal you ate will make the body store it as a more harder fat making it harder to burn. eating the regular 3 meals a day (not to big) is what you should start with. if your FEEL fat its probably a phychological thing. being big boned isnt a problem its what you do with it that is. if you want to look thing i would say try no to lift things when working out but do cardio workouts/running. nothing wrong with you though,

sounds like you are a closet eater to me. You do not eat around your friends but probably go home and gorge yourself after your parents are asleep. They probably ask each other, "what happened to the _____???" all the time. Big boned...I'd say just BIG and HUNGRY. Give yourself a goal to reach and strive for it as much as possible. This will help you get popular in school and not so much of a loser that you are now.

maybe you should just stop caring about what other people think and just be happy with your body. have you tried exercizing? maybe that will help. but no matter what starving your self or throwing up your food helps absouletly nothing. in most cases starving your self just spirals out of control until you become obessed with being TOO skinny. if you want to lose some weight exercise, and get out more.

If you're 175lbs at 5'8, you are not anorexic. In fact, you might even be overweight. But, if you're 75lbs at 5'8, you are anorexic.
