Girl... I feel ya! You really should remember your beautiful just the way you are! I'm not gonna reveal how much I weigh or anything, but I'll tell ya that I weigh somewhat more than you do. Thinking your overweight is a pretty common concept among girl teens... It's not just you! You may want to talk about it to your parents.... Don't get mad about it or anything and most definitely don't do anything drastic like starve yourself! Just remember that your gorgeous!

Look at the website. It's a body mass index and it tells you where you are in the percentile of people your age and height. You want to be in the marked green zone....it's pretty explanatory. Um.. you might have FAS (Female Athletic Syndrome) it's mostly associated with girls who are in sports like dance and need to be thin. The second website has more information about it. You should look into this, because it really can mess up your life. When I was 14, I had an eating problem, and it wasn't until I saw how my life could be so ruined by it that I stopped and got help.
You're not fat btw.. :) I hope you realise that before your friends get really annoyed. lol.

You are definitely not fat. You may have an eating disorder, or be on the road to an eating disorder. Women who do things like dance or gymnastics are at a high risk for those because of the nature of the activity- slenderness is highly prized. Talk to your parents or a counselor about this. You really, really don't want to end up with a full blown eating disorder, and if you get help now to keep your attitude towards your weight realistic, you'll be able to stay healthy.

you're definitely not fat. 88lbs at 5'2" is underweight if anything. A good rule of thumb for girls is 100lbs for 5'0" and + or - 5lbs for each inch above or below that. It varies with the amount of muscle. A very muscular girl would weigh a little more than those guidelines and not be fat.

give me a break. from your description you remind me of myself. i am a dancer and at 13 was about the same weight and height. You are FAR from fat. alot of times we girls (alot of dancers) think of themselves as fat when we arent. We compare ourselves to all those girls in the world that are overly skinny- they starve themselves and its sick. Dont do that. i am sure you are beautiful. try to stop comparing yourself to others. if that doesnt work try working out or running every day- also eat healthy. You will feel better about yourself in no time. enjoy life and trust me- you arent fat! live your life.

You are definitely not fat judging by your Body Mass Index.Take it from me. i was a gymnast in my teens(i'm now 30). I always thought if only I was thinner. Don't worry this is a hazard of your hobby/profession. I am sure you are beautiful both inside and out. I am now a health promotion worker in ireland and it breaks my heart to see girls in their teens to worry about self image.
