I told my story the other night so if anyone has already heard it I'm sorry.5 yrs ago, I was hospitalized for alcohol poisoning. They didn't know if I would make it through the night. My organs were shutting down, I was hallucinating and I have no recollection of the nest 6 days. They said I was the worst alcoholic they had ever seen. For at least a year I would have to get up in the middle of the night to take a shot of something so I wouldn't get the shakes.I can not begin to tell you how far gone I was. I was admitted into a counseling center {aka rehab}.During my stay there was one night that I prayed to GOD, Please take this from me and I trully truly meant it. I can not expain exactly what happened, I did not hear voices, I did not see angels, I just felt this wonderful peace come over me. I know that GOD was there. The counseling place told my family that I would probably always drink until I killed myself from it. I was that bad. It has been 5 yrs I have not had a drink I don't think about drinking and I do not go to AA. That is unheard of in a recovering alcoholic. I am not supposed to be here and i am not supposed to be sober and this so blistfully happy. GOD can do anything if you truly mean it when you ask. Since then, friends will call me if there is someone having trouble with drugs or alcohol so I can help. The counseling place asked me to come back and speak to their "guests". I spoke in class after the night that I prayed and the counselor was so in awe of the change in me when I spoke she let me out 4 days early and told my family the God had planted the seed of recovery. She told them that that she predicted that I would be one of the ones who would make it.I am not a great speaker. That was GODs love in my heart. This was my answered prayer.God bless

Awhile back, my life was in total turmoil, it was so hard, had to work two jobs, and was very unhappy. I would pray to God while I was driving to and from work, (both jobs), more like begging Him to "change my life", I did not know what exactly, just change it. Well, he did, everything has turned around, nothing fell out of the sky, by everything did fall into place. I am so happy now, only work one job that pays really well, and too many things to mention here have gotten better. I know that was God answering my prayers, I am so grateful for his precious gifts. I just try to be nice to strangers, help out where I can, but I have always done that, I just think about how incredibly blessed I am now.

I moved to a new house and wanted my ex and two little girls to come live with me. She declined, not knowing what she should do. I asked God to help get them to my house and that I would accept His answer either way. The very next day she was invited to move in with friends in the same town 250 miles away. I definitely had an answer. But I didn't accept it and worked on getting them to my house anyway, thinking I'd be happy. That next whole year really sucked!

Probably the best answer has been "no", when I prayed for something or someone I thought I really wanted but God knew it would hurt me and had something better in mind. You should never pry open a door that could not be opened with prayer.

I prayed for a miracle once and it happened…! A kid I'd met only weeks before had gotten struck by a car outside our apartment. My wife and I went to visit and pray for him at the hospital. When we arrived, we were told that he was in ICU (Intensive Care Unit) which meant no visitors. We stayed in the waiting room and in a few minutes were told that he was slipping away - that we could come in and say goodbye... We went in - his father, my wife, and I - and his father and I laid hands on him and we three began praying for his recovery. The boy started to make groaning sounds. We finished and left soon afterward. He came home 2 days later after being at death's door...! We were ecstatic...!

I heard a voice, Go Rub His Feet. I did, he opened his eyes, Praise God.I sometimes cry thinking about that.

Spiritual awakening I prayed for. It took a lot of persistent prayer but it happened. It was a wonderful experience.

other than full recovery of my heath years ago, a fantastic fabulous, glorious, gorgeous Lady who took the loneliness and bitterness out of my heart after my wife died. hopefully the next answer to my prayer will be for her to say " I do. "
