4/5. I mean you still have to check in but you don't have to sit right in teh bath room with them.

My children were all bathing alone by the age of 5... I did place a baby monitor in the bathroom so if i didnt hear splashing or heard too much splashing I could go check quickly... I checked in regardless of splashing every 3-4 minutes anyway... Having the monitor just afforded me the ability to listen in even when I wasn't actively checking in...

Up until my children were 7-8 I still did the end of bath check "Did you wash between your toe, did you wash behind your ears, did you wash your private bits? etc "

I am positive my son used to wonder around the tub amazed each and everytime by the new experience, "You mean taking a bath includes water and soap, and I am supposed to wash? This is all new information to me I though bathing meant I went in the bathroom wet my fingers wipes my eyes and then played with cars in the empty tub til bedtime? Are you sure mom cause I like this method.." He did eventuallly outgrow that stage it coincided nicely with his realization that girls were not exactly gross anymore... Now if only we could get him out of the bathroom... LOL

My girls both always loved baths my youngest (age 9) will still take a 4 hour bath until she is so prunny even her ears are wrinkled... When she discovered bubble bath it was all over she lays in the tub full of bubbles and exclaims "It is heaven in here." I will never forget a bath when she was 6 ... She knew how to fill the tub on her own so I let her when I went to check a few minutes later she had the glas enclosure closed and bubbles reaching about 3 feet up it... I couldnt even open the door... When I called out to her she said "It's bubble heaven in here but I need more bubble bath I used the whole bottle."

You can let your child play for a bit in the tub alone at about 4 (check often for safety) but to get actually clean without reminders and checking about 7... Try using the shower and bath technique if possible after 5 years ( get them in to the shower to get clean then they can take an after bath for relaxation and play)...

I don't know what the actual recommendation is but I didn't leave mine unattended until around 4 1/2 or 5. They still need help to get totally clean even at that age though.

This really depends on your child. If they are old enough to talk, and old enough to understand getting clean and washing their hair and stuff, then they are probably old enough to bathe unattended. Basically, if they don't need your help, they probably don't need your supervision either. 4 or 5 was good for me, other children might need to be older. other children might not need to be that old. It all depends. Check in on them every few minutes just to make sure they are ok, and stay nearby so if you hear any strange noises you can go check it out.

nicely, i'm sorry that I is quite not plenty help in answering your question, as i've got not got toddlers yet (lady on the way!). although, I quite do not think of that 2 is an age to bypass away your toddler unattended interior the tub. it quite is totally risky. If the youngster is drowning or choking, they are able to not "holler" in the event that they choose something....that's loopy. i could actual think of greater around the age of four or so could be suitable to bypass away for a jiffy at a time. i don't know...i'm additionally fascinated to work out what the different solutions are i think of your chum could desire to take some information from YOU!

No, No, No. Not 4 or 5. Too young. 7 or 8 is a good age but I still keep checking on them every few minutes. They could hit their head and drown at any age!!!!

Mine's been showering since around 5-6. I check all the time, because he could stay there for hours if he could.
