We were put here by God to serve Him. I believe the life experience is an eternal experience in which we will have communion with our Creator.
The life part as we know it know is a test - a very important one that will determine our eternal destiny.
Jesus came to reveal these things during His time on earth and to show us the way to restored fellowship with God.

Life has no intrinsic meaning other than to propagate itself and survive. Beyond that life has whatever meaning the individual wishes to ascribe to it.

we are to gain as much wisdom and knowledge as possible while on this plane of existence and then teach what we have learned to others so it will not be forgotten. thus hopefully mankind will be a little better off by our having been here.

Life is only meaning ful in that we give it meaning.
