My boyfriends been wanting some 4 ages and im thinking of buying him some for christmas but I havn't got a clue wot 2 look for in terms of name, power, etc. Can anyone help?

You'd be talking about speakers known as 6x9's (so called because they measure 6"x9"). The bigger the magnet, the better the sound, generally speaking.
If you really want to please him, a matching amp would do the trick and make even more noise.
Just make sure his stereo is a decent one and not a standard factory-fitted model. If not, this present is going to start costing you a fair bit of money.
If you search on the internet for dealers, the correct term is ICE, or In Car Entertainment.

Depends on what you want to spend... if you want to spoil him then go for some Alpine speakers.
Don't expect them to come cheap but he will definately be pleased with them.

Try halfords or motorworld if your in the uk, both shops have excellent sales staff who really know their stuff.
