Acts of suicide as a weapon in war have persisted since ancient times. Only the forms have changed to keep up with the technical advances of the times and to even the odds against a more powerful adversary. So in a sense the face of war is always changing as the style of weaponry changes.

The Army Colt 45 was developed to deal with the suicidal Moros in Mindanao, for example. British cavalry tactics were adapted to deal with the Whirling Dervishes of Khartoum (also Muslims). Kamikaze fighters bedeviled the US fleet in WWII, and so on.

No, war is hell. In war anything goes,as we learnt from world war two, but before that in wars of colonization, sure there may have been rules to govern the Western powers in there engagements, but against anyone else murder rape and pillaging where the order of the day. What is happening in Iraq or Afghanistan is nothing new, we've seen it through and through countless times before, just this time it's televised. Hey, why don't you go back and watch some of the old Vietnam footage and then tell me if you still wonder about muslims.

The Imam did not have the understanding or misunderstood your question. we've not been commanded to kill Non believers. although in the time of a holy conflict if a muslim dies he's guarantied a place in heavens. Now holy conflict here ability a conflict between a muslim land and that of a non believer. although this Holy conflict is for use on condition that there isn't any determination eg; Tryed convincing the enemy to not salary conflict on the muslim land. Holy conflict additionally ability the warfare for God (as in you are trying to delight God by utilising honesty, devotion to God by utilising prayers, information etc) that's what i advise by utilising confusion in this era. the appropriate way is which you will actual examine the Holy Quran and see the type you recognize it. War has no boundries when it comes to the Muslims, be it the way treat their own family members ie: their women. Be it their religion, and never mind about anyone elses. Lets all cut off their right hands and see what their religion delegates them to do next to terrorize and murder the innocent. Have Muslims changed the face of the war? You betcha! and they majority of the way we think about them.

Muslims, i mean Muslims, (not terrorists-try to differentiate b/w Muslims and terrorists) have the role model for war. In the times of the belovedProphet(PBUH), we never attacked by surprise. We always let our ennemies know we were comig. If they were fighting with swords, we fought with swords. War was equal. Anyone one not involved in war(pregnant women, children, handicapped, old ones) were not made prisoners of war. And u dare to ask such a silly question.
