Because it is a Gnostic "gospel." It denies the truth, saying that the "physical" Jesus was hindering the "spiritual" Jesus from being free, so Judas' betrayal made him "free."

This makes the bad guy the good guy, and flies in the face of the other Gospels, which were written by (or for) the Apostles. Judas died before any "gospel" could be written by or for him.

Further, to be included in the canon of Scripture, a book or letter had to have apostolic authority, be used by a plurality of the churches, and had to agree with other Scripture. The "gospel" of Judas doesn't meet any of these criteria, and was rejected.

For the same reason that many books of its type (a history from a personal perspective) are not: editing. There are many books relating to the life of Jesus that were in existence in the second to fourth centuries which are not included in the modern Bibles. Many of these writings still are available in collections of "apocrypha" and "lost books." Also see the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Nag Hammadi manuscripts. There's a lot to read if you look around.

Don't believe Judas wrote any books since he died at the same time as Jesus. You have to careful as there are lots of fake books out there which have no credibility. The books that are included in the bible have had to go through all kinds of tests for authenticity.

Why isnt Your book in the Bible? Our world is full of Judases, and only One christ. While Judas "helped" Christ to fulfill His will and sacrifice himself, if it werent for Judas it would have been someone else. His tale is important to a certain degree, but he wasnt the star of the spectacle.

So not all the disciples have a book. Only the main ones that really followed God and wated to write teh thigns that htey had experienced and saw exactly what happened. Only some of the disiples ahve books written not all. God chooses who writes int eh Bible. Just like i always say, the BIble is written by man but inspired and spoken through from God. OKay!?????

Because he was a Patsy? Some one had to take the fall for the 'Prophecy' to come true, didn't they? Jesus had every opportunity to turn himself in and save mankind. Was he crying in the garden cause he didn't want to die, because he was betrayed, or that he had condemned his friend? Why would he let an apostle do it? The book of Judas was probably left out because it answered questions the scribes didn't want known. Big mystery!

Because it represents a conspiracy between Jesus and Judas. There are many scriptures that are kept from our eyes that contradict the bible, and believe it or not they are all stored in the Vatican archives.
