Dating is practicing for divorce. If you start to go out with someone, "date", end up liking them a lot, then over time things don't work out you end up splitting up. I think that is like practicing for divorce. You can just end the relationship no strings attached, unfortunately in our society to many people think they can get married and divorced and no one gets hurt, but people do get hurt especially the kids involved. Instead, Christian singles should court, take time to get the person, and see where things go. Read the book, "I kissed dating Goodbye". By Joshua Harris. It really explains this process very nicely.

How else are you going to find someone to marry? Even if you believe in arranged marriages, no one else does.

In response to "Lilat180" below me, the differences between "dating" and "courting" is merely semantics.

And why does everyone seem to assume that "dating" means "sex"? You all have dirty minds! Dating is simply spending time with a person in order to get to know that someone. It can be just two people or a group thing.

They should pray about it of course, but the Bible has nothing against getting married - God created it/designed us for it. The Apostle Paul only warns us not to let it get between us and God. He also says it's better to get married than to "lust" after that person. And of course you want to be careful not to let dating tempt you in any way, if you know what I mean.
Peace

They should wait untl they get married, only then can they meet each other without being inappropiate or setting a bad example to others. Ask your pastor for a suitable partner. Oh and you must never divorce otherwise you will be thrown out of the church.

No Jesus did not date, therefore it would not be Christ like. He also did not cut his hair or drive a car. You should get follow this example and walk to Hade-Ashbury immediately.
